My husband and I visited the speedway on a rainy day in Watkins Glen. We drove in (for free) and parked our car next to a grandstand. We climbed to the top row with our open umbrellas and were able to watch a BMW event. (No spectators, so was it practice?) At noon and 5, you can drive your own...
For a unique, exciting and inexpensive experience, take your car onto the track and drive three laps behind a pace car. Although you can't zip around at 100 mph, the track is curvy enough that the ride is still exhilarating.
Great to watch races here, even better to be a driver racing here! One of the most challenging and rewarding tracks on which to compete.
