In Short The inn--where celebrities stay when lecturing at Duke--is reminiscent of an English country manor with dark woods, floral prints and European art. The elegance continues throughout its 271 guest rooms and suites decorated with rich fabrics complemented by cotton linens and antique furniture. A minibar, an electronic safe, English toiletries and cable TV are in every room.... more

If you are looking for romance and luxury- you've found it. the Washington Duke is elegant and luxurious. The staff waits on you hand and foot. We felt like royalty. The restaurant is pricey but, a definite treat. If you are looking for a special spot for Valentine's, or another special night, you won't be sorry. You'll be wow'd.

I think this is the best restaurant by far in the Triangle. We had their dinner tasting menu and had an excelent experience. The food and service is fantastic and their wine menu is extensive. I would highly recommend it for a special ocassion. We celebrated our daughter's baptism there and they were very accomodating and we would do it again in a heartbeat...

If you were to describe what the perfect brunch should be. this is it! An incredible full breakfast with great omelot chefs, and an array of delicious luncheon dishes, vegetables and salads. Now in a very elegant new restaurant setting. Perfect for special occasions. You can't do better than this for 1000 miles. Better not wear jeans.
