Its spacious galleries are home to Greek and Roman statuary, Baroque carvings, and a large collection of Renaissance paintings. One of the best small art museums in the country. Underappreciated, but a most lovely treasure. Artworks are lushly displayed (no chrome-on-a-white-wall minimalism here). My favorite sections are ancient Greek and Roman, and, the best, the medieval. Such beauty is balm for the soul. Please go and sing its praises! With the upcoming (starting October, 2006) free admission, there's no excuse not to!

The Walters Art Museum is internationally renowned for its collection. It offers fifty-five centuries of art. It is always good to check out museums often since the collections change quite frequently. The Walters tries to bring in artwork from around the world and give Baltimore residents a chance to see them up close.
