Help us make it rightWe just wanted to grab some takeout and eat in our room while staying in Alturas recently. That turned out to be more of a challenge than we thought with it being Sunday evening.
So we stopped in at the Wagon Wheel and asked it they had takeout, the waitress said yes and gave menus to peruse.

This little place has great service and friendly staff. The food was ok. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Wagon Wheel. Dinner was good until I found a portion of my chicken not fully cooked. A good place to eat in Alturas since places to eat are very limited.. Just a family type of cafe but the food is really good.
Apearences are deciving - could use an extreme face lift on the counters and tables but the food and people were great. The ham steak was awsome
A surprising pleasure as a dinner stop on our way south to Reno. Varied menu, including breakfast all day. We all enjoyed the food, and service was great. Highly recommended!
