Business Description from the Web
V Mertz is an upscale restaurant that offers guests Mediterranean-influenced Continental dishes. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $20 to $30, and people are appropriate dressing quite formal -- jacket and tie are required.
One of the original wine bars in the United States, V. Mertz serves an incredibly enticing menu. They are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and dinner every night at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant is located in a former fruit cellar of a 104 year old warehouse.
V. Mertz is considered one of Omaha’s if not one of the state’s best restaurants. And for good reason. The eatery changes its menu monthly to provide variety and recently added a chef’s tasting menu.

Located in the Old Market in a great walk down restaurant is V Mertz. Now, this place is AMAZING. Despite being one of the more expensive dining experiences of my life, it was VERY worth it. I spent about $120 for two people, but that is with appetizers, wine, entrees and desserts. I could cut the steak with my spoon, wow it was truly amazing. This may a place I can only take my wife on...

Nightly menus are of the finest selection and quality. The owners are meticulous....

This spot has it all-----great staff, great food, best wine list in Omaha!!! My favorite part about V. Mertz's has to be the actual space, it's soooo romantic and quiet. No fumbling kitchen staff or overly dramatic maitr'de. Highly unusual restaurant, I couldn't find a flaw.
