After first moving to austin, the first thing I did was to research and find the best bank for me. That bank is Velocity Credit Union. They work with you to reduce fees and have FREE checking. I have had no problems with them so far. I also chose them because everyone said they would work with you over any fees that you may get for overdrafting the first few times.
