Real and authentic German food. The wait staff is attentive, friendly and most are ethnic. We travel from our home in Denver quite often for lunch and on the way to somewhere else. The dinner plate is very full so we prefer the lunch size. Hint: if you are going to Uwe's make a reservation, even for lunch as the place is normally packed. I only had the chance to go once, but it was the best german food I've ever had (outside of my Oma's kitchen). It was inexpensive and the portions were great. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Uwe's is the best German Restaurant I've ever been to. The price is reasonable, they give you more than enough food (I usually have to take some home with me) and the owner's are from Germany. The downside is that they close the restaurant for one month every year, so they can all go home to Germany to visit. Make sure you call ahead for reservations, as it is a small restaurant and fills up...
