“Came to our rescue!”
Yellow Cab
We were forced to leave our rental car at Enterprise on 24th then take a cab to the airport for an early flight out. We were told Enterprise served the airport. They do; one way only. So we called U S Cab Saturday to confirm they would have a cab for us early Sunday am. We called them at 4:33 am and were promised 'right away'. We called several more times with more excuses. Finally at 5:33 after an hour out in the cold an intercept came on and said that cell phone was no longer in service. We called Yellow Cab and he was there in three minutes and barely got us to the airport in time.
Hooray for Yellow!

“They sold our room and took our belongings!”
Motel 6 Bakersfield East
We ordered for two nights on the internet and were provided a confirmation number. We arrived and got room 425. We returned the next evening late to find our key cards did not work. Then the office girl said they made an error and had someone else in our room. They were then out of rooms. They could not locate our belongs in the two laundries and promised to send them to us and pay the freight. She promised also to call if opur stuff was not located. Last night she said she could not call us as someone had taken our phone number off of the wall. She already had both our confirmation via email plus the sign in card with our phone numbers. I can understand an error. I do not believe they through my stuff away. The western shirts had been worn only once prior. I took my new stuff on the trip. The Leatherman Multipurpose Toll is guarranteed forever and was like now. They have not offered to compensate for any of our belongings at all. I had used Motel Six faithfully for decades since they came to California and later Oregon. But never again. It could I guess happen to anyone. I do not believe thay inadvertently through it away. They should replace it.

“They changes everything!”
Enterprise Rent-A-Car
We choose Enterprise as they pick up and serve the airport. We they do pick up. But contrary to what the operators said, they do not have a drop off at the airport and they are not open weekends. And cost is not what you think. Online a Dodge Magnum was 107 to 2 day week-end. Here in Oregon we rented a Charger for 80 for the same period so that seemed fair. The operator on the phone said the cost with him was the same. But he changed the reservation to a 'standard' car. And he was wrong. They made us drop the vehicle off miles from the airport. And we got the only thing they had for us, a P T Cruiser. I feel that is a small car. Not the Premium we ordered for 107. I also feel they are charging us more, way over that promised 107. They do not even have a seat to sit on while you wait for a cab at 4:30 in the morning for the 6 to 7 mile ride to the airport. That cost us over 20 dollars. If we had the time, we would have simply walked away and got a cab to another car rental. A traveler using the airport will be stuck out in the cold.

“Sold our room AND KEPT OUR STUFF!”
Motel 6 Bakersfield Convention Center
We ordered online for two nights. We arrived and were given room. The following day we came back late and the key cards would not work. Their office girl saif they made a mistake and other people were in the room. They promised to send us our belongings left in the room. They never came. That lady had promised to call if they were not located. She did not. Last night she said she couldn't as someone tore off the note on the wall and she did not know our phone number. Nonsense. They had it from both the reservations online, and our sign in card. They have done nothing about replacing our belongings. Tough!
We are most sorry! I do not believe they through them away. The western shirts were worn only one time. The Leatherman Multitool is guarranteed forever and was like new and worth 50 dollars. I took brang new clothes on that trip and they are simply gone. Sorry! I had previously used Motel Six for decades since they came to California and later Oregon.

“Left out in the cold!”
U S Cab
We rented a car from Enterprise as they served the airport and would pick us up at Amtrak. Well they said we had to leave the car at their location on 24th just off of Chester. We called U S Cab the day before to be sure they'd have a cab for us at 4:30 am. We called them many times that morning, always being told heos just around the corner. Finally after one full hour an intercept came on and said that cell phone is no longer in service. We nealry missed our plane to San Francisco. Yellow Cab showed up within three minutes.

“Left out in the cold!”
Enterprise Rent-A-Car
I tried ordering a car in Bakersfield online but had trouble. I needed to know if I could be picked up from the Amrak and leave the car at the airport so I called their operators. I was told their office on 24th just west of Chester served the airport and I could use a drop box for the keys at the airport. We had seen a Dodge Magnum on their website and asked for either that or a Dodge Charger. The price was 107 dollars for two days in the week-end. WE had just rented a Charger here in Oregon for 80 dollars for a two day weekend. Once there we were offered the only thing they had, a P T Cruiser. And they were closed on the weekend and had no drop box at the airport. Our train was late so we took the Cruiser. It now appears the operator was incorrect as they charge more that way than online, so we are paying way over the promised 107 total for a much smaller car. We took it back at 4 am and waited for U S Cab to arrive, calling many times, eventually an intercept came on saying that cell phone was no longer in service. There isn't even a banch to sit on. A trraveler cannot use Enterprise in Bakersfield. Cabs are not realiable that early in the morning, there is no safe place to stay, and they do not serve the airport. They might pick you up there. But how does one get the car back, then get to the airport? It cost over 20 dollars to finally catch a cab. Yellow came right away. I checked yesterday and they are still listed as serving the airport. A magnum or similar car is still listed as 107 for the 2 days. But don't believe it.
