overpriced yarns, staff is not helpful, very basic projects. I just didn't get a good vibe from this place.

This is a cute little store that has some nice basics and supplies. Staff is usually helpful.

My mom, both grandma's, and I all go here. Reasonable prices and they do an awesome job. I've been going there for about 10 years and recommend people all the time.

This is one of those small town type places where they know your name and your mom. Good service and much more personal than the local CVS. The pharmacists are also quite knowledgeable

This little local italian restaurant has all the basics you would expect and some really yummy specials. It gets packed on the weekends (and sometimes during the week too) so reservations are recommended.

I work in Hawthorne (and live in Hawthorne) and this is my favorite pizza place in town. I go at least once a week for a slice of sicilian. The crust is awesome, thick and crispy. Their regular slices are good too. Never really tried their food, but I have heard it's good from co-workers. It's the type of place that they remember you.
