“Overpriced - yes! Small plates - yes! Not impressed - yes!”

Terzo
Ok, it's a local famous place in SF but I was not impressed. The communal atmosphere is also not a very appealing at this age of swine and seasonal flu. Do you really want to share small finger-food plates with somebody? And the whole thing of strangers sitting next to you at the table is not the thing I'd like to do these days. Oh, their heirloom tomatoes are 3.99/lb in Whole Foods. Been there once, enough already.

“Good seems very good and nice neighborhood atmosphere”

Beach House Cafe
YellowBot Location We just had take out: a lobster bisque, chicken enchiladas (organic!) and Rhode Island style calamari. Food was very good and delicious, and while waiting for them to make it we observed very nice neighborhood atmosphere (Saturday night). The place was packed, so take out was a good option. Next time will come here for lunch.

“Superb Pub Food!!!”

Mr Dooley's Boston Tavern
YellowBot Location Great place right in the middle of Boston! We had clam chowder, Cajun Cod, Scallop Spinach salad and couple Boddingtons! It was a perfect dinner after a day of travel. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the view from the window. If you like Irish pubs, you'll love this place. Can't wait to go there again.

“Fancy setting but ok value”

Creo Restaurant
Food is good, but nothing special. A bit pricier (I guess due to the settings) but nothing to be too crazy about.

“This place saved our lives!!!”

Matt Murphy's
YellowBot Location It was 11pm and we were hungry. First, when we looked at this place it was crowded inside and no place to sit with a 5-year old. But the bar tender was so kind: he asked couple of his buddies to free up a table and move to the bar. So we sat down and ordered a few dishes: fritters, Irish fondu, cod and Scottish Ale. The food was amazing! So tasty and so well portioned (for 11:30pm!). It was just a perfect dinner for late night travelers. The place was packed with locals. It was Wednesday night and it means Trivia Night! We learned a few interesting things. I wished I was back in college again. Anyways, great food, great atmosphere, and as far as cash/credit cards are concerned, it's not a big deal. For some reason, we saw the sign right away or were warned by the waiter, so no problem there. 5 thumbs up!

“Excellent crepes!!!”

Paris Creperie
YellowBot Location This place caught our eye browsing Nuvi's choices where to eat in Brookline, MA (Boston area). It was our great choice for breakfast. We tried Salmon Crepe and Tuscan Crepe. Shared between three, we were filled for good 6 hours. Excellent crepes and friendly service. Strongly recommend for breakfast and lunch. Would definitely come back again!

“Excellent Lebanese Cafe in Albany, NY”

Rita's Lebanese Cafe'
YellowBot Location If you like Lebanese food, Rita's Cafe is the place to go. Don't take it from me: my colleague grew up in Lebanon, and Rita's cafe meets her highest standards of her Lebanese mother's home cooking. Rita cooks all the food herself and every dish is a masterpiece. Rita's husband and your attentive waiter is all hospitality and as welcoming as you can be. What can be better than a cup of Rita's warm Lentil soup on a cold rainy day?! Eating at Rita's is an event. You may stop for a quick wrap or pita sandwich and you'll stay for a sampler plate, salads, lamb, chicken, deserts and sweets. Outstanding!

“Better than McCr*p!”

Rick's Drive-In
This is definitely true, but I won't give more than 3 stars. Not too cheap either: 6 bucks for a 1/2 pounder plus fries. Fat Burgers tastes better even in the same "hot-plate" cooking mode. They definitely need grilled option, then it may be 4 stars in my book. But the positives are: big serving of fries made from real potatoes, quick service, you can see what they are cooking. Ah-h-h, I am tempted to go for the 4 stars, but something stops me. Maybe if they go for the grill and add some exotic sauces (something like Garlic Plant's Pepper Sauce) I will change to 3.5 or 4.

“Box dinner was great!”

Yo Yo Restaurant
I didn't try their sushi but the combo box dinner was excellent. I order Tariakki salmon and tempura. The order was so big that I could barely finish it. My friend's sushi looked pretty good too.

“Flying knives and fire!”

House Of Genji
Excellent experience of Japanese food! I enjoyed "the show" and licked the plates as I consumed my food prepared in front of me by this virtuoso chef. Go for dinner combo and get some steak and seafood from the choices. Also, I suggest Miso soup. Sake or Kirin may be a good sidekick. Great service, great food, great atmosphere!

“Missing Britain but don't want to fly over the pond?”

Tudor House
Try the Tudor House. Excellent British place for food, snacks and fine dining (or should I say, gourmand tea drinking?). If you want something truly authentic, try Welsh Rarebit. All sandwiches are awesome too! Order tea as well with you order. Blackcurrant tea is very tasty! Don't forget to load your bag with frozen pies on the way out. Also take some candy pies. Here is a secret: if you order the pies in the dining room, it will cost you 2-3 times more if you just buy them at the counter (to-go). So dine on something that you can't buy in the deli shop. Enjoy!

“Awesome Mexican in Carlsbad”

Traveling from LA to San Diego and feel like Mexican? Pull over in Carlsbad and try a taste of this great place. I tried my first cactus dish here: very interesting taste. Would recommend the Tortilla Soup as well. Mucho, mucho delicioso! - Ola!

“Great Indian Joint in San Jose”

Amber India Restaurant
I came here with a team for lunch. So did many other people from other companies. There are a lot of Indians eating here. It's got to be good if my Indian co-workers liked it. For me, I loved it!!! Still feel sorry for the plate that I didn't have a chance to finish when I went to get the second plate - the waiter was too quick to pick it up! Well, loaded a pile on the second plate and got my stomach full for the rest of the day. Needless to say, the project work was not on my mind as I was indulging in digesting this great food! Did I mention: it's a buffet for lunch. Try their signature non-alcoholic drinks. -Cheers!

“10 Stars!!!!!!!”

Good Ol' Burgers
Now, all you new travelers seeking a good burger joint somewhere between SF and LA, save your hunger for this BEST HAMBURGER PLACE WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER!!! No kidding, the BEST burgers, fries and the incredible Pepper Sauce made right here in CA. Right smack in the middle of Central CA, you can't miss it if you travel on 101, just exit to Hwy 46 and go West. Old timers remember this place as an old shack with a wagon wheel and farm's junk in front. What a character! Now, it's all modern and the bathroom is really nice (!!!!). My heart sunk when I saw that they moved to a new place, but boy was I happy to eat the same great hamburgers! My family history is around this place! I have tons of photos and videos shot on location for almost every trip we took going up and down CA for about 15 years! You've got to try it. And don't be shy, go for the Round Up. That's two patties. Come hungry!

“Too bad I am on business trip and could't take a doggy bag!!!!”

Haveli Indian Cuisine
Excellent Indian place in Pleasanton, CA. You should try some veggie appetizers. It was my first time (I am more chicken and lamb kind of guy), but the choice of my Indian colleague was great. Also, Mango Lassi's are thick and cream. Save one for desert!

“Very good Indian Food”

Mehfil Indian Cuisine
Hey, this is a great one for Indian food lovers. We enjoyed it tremendously after sharing couple dishes between 3 adults and one 3 y.o. I would have given all 5 starts, but for some reason we were not given the usual Indian appetizers that I spotted on other tables. Maybe we were a bit chaotic with the baby, maybe they were more interested in catering to the business travelers. No big deal, it's fixable. The food was exceptional!

“Great Italian Restaurant”

Ristorante Umbria
Try Mayor's special. My Father-in-law loved it and my wife was raving about it for days. I ate blackened fish which was just what's the doctor ordered. But be careful: packed for lunch!

“Great Native Chineese food!”

Sam Woo Restaurant
Awesome place to have some good native family Chinese food. No wonder it's packed all the time. Recommend! One suggestions to the staff: please don't touch little kids without their parents' permission. I know if may be ok in some countries, but I don't like strangers touching my children even if it's a gesture of good will.
