I bought a Jeep Wrangler from this dealership and had numerous problems with them. First they put an improper color for the custom leather interior we had them do. They refused to pay to put the correct color in and it still looks bad. Then we had a problem with their alarm system not working properly (constant falses). They eventually replaced the alarm but we still get the false alarms. Finally, we came to realize that the soft top that came with the Jeep (also has a hard top) was missing $465 dollars in numerous parts required to install it. They refused to get me the parts or refund me the cost to get them. I wish I'd read all of the poor reviews about this dealership before I decided to make a purchase there.

Kearny Mesa Toyota advertised a specific price on a vehicle in stock, which I was made aware of by the fleet manager. It was advertised for Sunday, but the fleet manager extended the offer to me in writing (by email) while I got a cash down payment and loan approval from my credit union. He also offered to add leather for a written agreed upon price. Within 38 hours, I had the cash downpayment and loan approval. I went to the dealer and accepted the fleet manager's offer. The vehicle was still on the lot and they took me for a test ride. The sales manager told my salesman that the offer I'd been given had expired on Sunday. I explained the written agreement to extend the offer and the leather price. The sales manager said the leather price was incorrect and it would be an additional $198 dollars. I said that wasn't the agreed price, but I'd accept the change. He said he'd have to call the GM about the other agreement. About 20 minutes later the sales manager said the offer would not be honored. He said the fleet manager did not follow protocol and did not get approval to make the offer. He acknowledged that the agreement had been made, because the sales manager checked the fleet manager's email. But, they still would not honor the written agreement. I took a day off work to make this deal and spent 5 hours on the lot with my wife and young child to have them refuse to honor a previously written agreement. They said they could make the deal if I paid an extra $1300 or so dollars. I explained that I felt the actions of their fleet manager was beyond my control, but a written agreement had been made. If nothing else, customer service would dictate their honoring this agreement. They said no and we left. We were stunned at this blatant rescinding of an offer by their fleet manager to a customer. I had purchased a new car from this lot before, and they were aware of that. Your word is who you are, but a written agreement is a contract. This falls within the "bait and switch" parameters, but at the very least, it was outrageous customer service. We remained shocked the whole 50 minute drive home and wondered how a dealership could treat customers in such a fashion.

We used this company for a period of time, and the level of service and professionalism deteriorated to the point where we had to stop using them. The owner was friendly at first - then became increasingly terse and unpleasant as we expressed our dissatisfation with their several cancelations and missed appointments in getting our filters changed. They missed about 3 appointments and didn't want to come to our house unless they had another job in our area. We lost a considerable amount of time trying to work with them to no avail. Their prices remain higher than the competition, and they have great difficulty working with email. We finally had to find another company to service our water system.

Bottom line is that the produce here just isn't that fresh - it's average to below average. Raspberries and tomatoes we bought rotted within a day or two. Artichokes looked horrible. No reason to return - we can get better produce at any other supermarket.

This company accepted an order through our home warranty company for a central vacuum repair. They took the order, knowing what was specifically wrong with the system and that they were going to refuse the order. They were trying to extort a $50 dollar fee from us for driving out to our home. The person who came out to our home demanded money from our babysitter and refused to leave, causing her to tell him she was going to call the police. The owner of the company (Steve) hung up on my wife when she tried to politely explain the situation to him. He made a threat if we did not pay and then sent us an invoice. The warranty company told us we were correct in refusing to pay Carey, and the warranty company removed them from their list of companies that they authorize to do home warranty repairs. I filed a complaint with the Contractor's State Licensing Board, and they took "disciplinary action" against Carey Overhead Doors for "Working out of Classification." They never should have accepted this work order, because they do not have the proper license to do central vacuum repairs. Every step of the way, Steve Carey was challenging, threatening, and he refused to accept any responsibility for his actions. He presented intentionally false statements to all agencies that I contacted, including our warranty company, the CSLB (and others). Fortunately, his fraudulent actions were not missed by the CSLB, and disciplinary action was appropriately taken.

Flaky, non responsive, kept our TV for a month with no explanation. Incompetent, unconcerned about customer service.

Good carne asada burritos, tacos and quesadillas.
