the best yarn shop on the planet
I love this place. Whenever I'm in Burbank, I magically orient myself in relation to where Unwind is. It's one of the sweetest yarn shops and it's stocked with some gorgeous yarns. While it may not be as cute-as-a-coffeehouse, or have a vast selection of yarns, it has GOOD yarns (Blue Sky, Rowan, etc.) and a great selection of Addis at decent prices. Plus, the staff are the most friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, service-oriented people I've ever encountered in a yarn shop. (Including the owner, Stephanie.) They can order in just about anything you might need. Parking is often a breeze just out front, unless there's something unusual going on nearby. There are yarn tastings, classes, evening knitting groups, yarn clubs, special events - there's ALWAYS something going on! If you've ever been curious to knit or crochet, or if you're an old hand, Unwind is the only yarn shop you need to stop by.

Unwind is so great, not only because they have a wonderful selection of yarns, knitting supplies, books and great prices but because their sales staff is always willing to help you with a project you have already started or something you'd like to start. The staff is helpful and friendly and the inventory is great. Next time you need to stock up your knitting bag stop at Unwind!

I love this place. I am a new knitter and they are so helful and welcoming. There is never a problem finding parking and it's not cramped like alot of yarn stores. I am inspired every time I go in there. Plenty of sofas to sit around and knit and chat!
