Although there are other reasons to visit Union Station (such as Science City), a visit to the station itself costs nothing, and is worth the effort. The skilled artistry that went into the original building of the station, and the equally skilled remodeling, really evoke a sense of the grand age of rail travel. There are places inside to grab a snack or visit a museum, or you can just wander... more

Kids and parents liked it. I figured it to be the same old thing we've taken the family to, but it wasn't at all. Plenty of things to keep everyone happy. Even a little playground and mini-golf course, among other things.

Great for a Girl Scout trip!

Our Girl Scout troop went to the Science Center located in Union Station a few years ago. We were able to reserve the entire Science Center just for the girls for two days and we were able to spend the night in the center. Some girls slept in caves, others slept in the sewer drains and holes. This was a very fun trip for the kids
