This W. 6th St. meat market is just a little off the cheeseball-bar path. The big rooftop patio is decked out with classy furnishings and tasteful foliage. The crowd is young and cute and largely single, fueling inter-posse mingling and the occasional exchange of “OMG, should I call him” moments the day after. I've been to this bar many times and it's never failed to provide an excellent time. They have fun music, and I've only recently discovered the "Boom Boom Room" in the back for great dancing. It's crowded, but full of good-looking people (albeit some are the yuppie-type). As far as the people who have had problems with their credit cards here, I personally never use a credit card at any bar....

I went to Union Park last week and opened a tab. When I went to close out my tab, they could not find it. After sending me up to one of their upstairs bars, they still could not locate the tab. They responded with a shrug and "I don't know what happened to your card." Of course I was angry, so I kept pressing - then they came back and said that my tab had already been closed out by someone else...

This place is pretty cool. the boom boom room is a joke. The owner is this short stocky guy with a bad attitude and if you need to call the place to get help or if you lost something... forget it.
