Charles Umlauf, who died in 1994, was a gifted sculptor whose work is displayed in the sculpture garden. Umlauf has more outdoor sculptures in and around Texas than any other artist. You don't need a guide to wander through the landscaped grounds, replete with sculptures made of bronze, cast stone and limestone. Guided tours can be given to groups of 20 or more with advance notice.

I can't think of too many museums I enjoy in Austin more than the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens. The people that work there are wonderful and the sculptures are amazing.
