Two Guys From Sweden

Two Guys from Sweden - best Saad mechanic in LA

Review Rating
I agree 100% with the earlier post. I'm been going to Robert for 4 years - he's the most honest and trustworthy mechanic I've ever had. It may sound odd - but as long as I live in LA - I'll own a Saab, purely b/c of him.

Over the weekend my car started dumping fuel - not pretty. I had it towed to the closest AAA mechanic in West Hollywood. After researching the issue - the mechanic called me and quoted me 850$ for a new fuel pump. I immediately called Robert and told him the story - he said "no way, it can't be the fuel pump." So I towed the car to 2 Guys from Sweden - 10 minutes and 18$ (yes $18.00) later, the car was fixed. Robert saved me over 800$.

He knows Saabs inside and out. Is friendly, honest, and not condescending in any way (for those people like me - who know nothing about cars). He's the best. So if you own a Saab and live in LA. Go to Robert - trust me, it's worth it.

Two Guys From Sweden - excellent Saab mechanic

Saab mechanic: Robert at "Two Guys from Sweden" -- he's not only the best mechanic I've ever dealt with (and I've had many over the years), but he's honest, friendly and down to earth. I say this after six years of being his customer. And I don't write raves like this... well, ever. He's the real deal.

When I moved to Los Angeles six years ago, I told my Saab-owning cousin I was interested in buying a Saab, and he swore up and down he had the best mechanic ever. I trusted him, so really I had my mechanic before I even bought my car. My cousin's advice proved to be correct; Robert kept my car in beautiful condition, saving parts to show me what he'd replaced. He would make time to help me in emergencies at short notice.

His shop isn't close to my house (I live on the east side), and so occasionally I would use a local mechanic for minor fixes, or when I was in a rush. The work was always done so badly that I swore I would find a way to get the car to Robert next time. I have consistently been punished by bad work and high rates when I go elsewhere, often coming back to Robert to have him straighten out the mistakes of other mechanics.

I can' t say any more except that I wouldn't go anywhere else. I trust them completely and it's always a pleasure to do business with them, even if it's not fun to have a broken car. I actually look forward to going in because they are the kind of people you want to do business with, and they are excellent at fixing cars. Saab and Volvo only for me, just because of them.

After looking around the area for a Swedish car specialist, one that I could take my Saab to for as long as I'd own it, I started going to Robert a few years ago and haven't gone anywhere else since. Friendly and knowledgeable, Robert tells me honestly what my car needs (or doesn't need) and when to get it done (or if I can put it off for awhile). I was nervous that a Saab would be expensive to... more
