Real Buffalo Burger, Turkey Burger, Fried Goat Cheese with Chicken Salad, and Twisted Sweet Potato Fries are among the eats on offer at the Twisted Root Burger Co. Owners Jason Boso and Quincy Hart gathered culinary expertise to do the unthinkable—create the perfect burger. The rooftop patio, laid-back atmosphere, great prices, home-made ice-creams, and, of course, freshly grilled burgers make... more

No bakers or candlestick makers, but there are butchers here. Former chef of the Four Seasons makes nice with other chefs equally tired of making fancy foods and opens digs for more appreciative crowd. Instead of quiche, its fried macaroni balls. And house-made ice cream developed by pastry chef pal from back in the Las Colinas day. The fried ice cream alone is worth a visit.

Heard about this place on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives on the Food Channel. On a recent trip to Dallas for a visit went to this place on a Friday night. Line was out the door and took approx 45 minutes to get through and place our order. Bar would not serve anybody until reached end of line so couldn't drink a beer while we waited in line. Burger was ordered medium rare and came out medium... more

My wife and I had read nothing but good things about the Twisted Root Burger Co. (in Deep Ellum), and being self-proclaimed burger connoisseurs, we were really excited to check it out. They've been nominated for best burger, best fries, best onion rings, and best restaurant value in Dallas, by several publications and websites. Unfortunately, on our visit, they didn't live up to the praise that... more
