New to the area, feeling comfortable here

I have been living here for almost two months and I must say that the location is perfect. I love baseball so being just steps away from Coors Field is amazing! There are breweries and restaurants less than a block away which is amazing as well. Sometimes on the weekends the area can get a little loud but I expect it to be quieter as fall approaches.

I think the facilities here are pretty nice...

This complex is close to everything! 4 blocks from the new King Soopers, 5 blocks from the 16th street mall, and super close to union station as well! I have a Martini (1b/1b), the kitchen is huge and has great granite countertops, the bedroom and closet could be a little bigger but I was able to fit a queen size bed and 2 night stands in there. I had a routine maintenance request and it was...

DO NOT rent here-they jack up the rent 15% at renewal

I thought it was just me...but after talking to two other random tenants (one who had been here for 3yrs!), it seems that Twenty One 01 doesn't really want to retain tenants.
And why is this? Apparently I was not the only one to get bushwacked-albeit with 60 days notice-of a 18% increase in rent. Thats right 18%. But it wasn't half as bad for the guy in the lobby-they jacked up his rent by 30%.I'm incredibly surprised that this is legal. Most apartments want you to stay...apparently not here.

The inconsistentcies are overwhelming-they lure you in with an AMAZING rate, and then jack it up...

Location is nice, the rest is REGRETTABLE.

Don't expect to live here for more than a year unless you're ready to shell out...wait for it...15-18% more in rent the next year. They bring you in with a great offer and then essentially push you to leave after the first year of promotional rate if you can't afford the (at least) 15% rent hike. I was able to swing it, albeit begrudgingly. They have no problems pushing people out, because there's a line at the door of 20-something guys and gals who want to feel like they've ""made it"" by living so close to Coors and having the average-to-just-above-average new building amenities.

It's expensive and not worth the money. You can get better place in downtown with less rent. Parking is a nightmare. They tell you that you have parking spot, but its not true, its mostly unassigned and you have to search to find one... and good luck with that.They tow your car if you forget your permit. on average coast you $250 to get it back. Entrance is clean, nice and deceptive, floors are dirty. They vacuum the carpet every 6 months.Its very normal to see garbage on floors and parking. Electricity is a problem and once in a while you have no electricity and it takes them hours to fix...
