Located just off Broadway behind the offices of the Tennessean, Nashville's daily newspaper, 12th & Porter is impossible to miss. It's that turquoise-and-black building with the retro look. This place has a hip, urban feel and books alternative-rock bands. Songwriter's Night is Monday, when there's no cover.

The place can be difficult when a show is going on, go anytime else and it's a breeze to get into. The food is without a doubt some of the best in Nashville.... Try the Pasta YaYa, it is unbelieveable.
