Clio. No. 9 Park. L'Espalier. These are among the names quickly ticked off when people talk about the top restaurants in town. Why isn't Troquet more often among them? Not because of the food, which is elegant and French-inspired. Certainly not because of the wine, which is the heart of the matter here: Bottles are priced at just $10 above retail, and there are more than 40 by the glass,... more

The last four digits of the phone number spell out "WINE" which tells a lot about this restaurant. Run by the former owners of Uva, a Brighton bistro famous for its low markups on quality wines, Troquet offers a more extensive wine list, with prices still well below the restaurant average.\n\nTroquet offers classic French fare in the Theatre District.

Go to Desert Inn for a place that serves an American cuisine with a menu dominated by steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost from $12 to $20, and people for the most part dress casual.

In Short Operating since 1960, Domino's is best known for its delivery service and pizzas arrive hot, thanks to the company's plugged-in HeatWave delivery-bag technology. Build your own pie--add toppings to either Ultimate Deep Dish, Crunchy Thin Crust or Classic Hand Tossed styles--or select a Feast Pizza, like the MeatZZa Feast, topped with pepperoni, ham, beef and Italian sausage.... more

With a stylishly narrow second-floor dining room and impressive views of Boston Common and the State House, Troquet presents an attractive choice for theatergoers in search of a luxurious pre-show meal. The restaurant's wine-loving owners put an incredible amount of effort into the wine list, pairing each and every menu item with several wines (available in two- or four-ounce servings). The... more

Troquet is French slang for "small wine cafe," and it's a good name for this sophisticated two-level restaurant. The second-floor dining room overlooks Boston Common, and the ground floor is a lounge that serves "creative cocktails" and small plates. Troquet offers 40-plus wines by the 2- or 4-ounce glass and hundreds more by the bottle. Because the markup is lower than usual, sampling several... more

A great place to go with friends. The paired wine and food is a great way to try a number of different wines at all different prices. They have some vintage wines downstairs which are also available. The food is good, as well, making it a very pleasant place to spend an evening.

Great food and wine selection, service pretentious, price high

Caesar salad was delicious, as was the Duo of Foie Gras (served two ways, with pear), would not suggest the Roasted Organic Chicken (way dry), nor the Suckling Pig (too salty). Go somewhere else for Rib Steak. Excellent wine selection. Wait staff was self congratulatory and tried to be more than they are. Prices were high- expect to pay at least $60 per person for three courses and wine.

Excellent food paired with excellent wine

Troquet has the most interesting wine list in Boston. It has something for everyone--some outstanding and expensive wines, but not as expensive as elsewhere. Also, some medium priced wines that are very good. Chris, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and always has interesting recomendaions. Or you can choose the wine pairing with the food for a good combination. The food is also... more
