Train Station

You'd think that a lunch place with a limited menu could serve good food quickly. Here you'd be wrong. We were the ONLY table in the plave but it took 30 minutes from the time we walked in until we got our meals. The fish, their specialty, was mercilessly overcooked. The server was pleasant and the prices cheap. But that can't make up for mediocre food served slowly.

The Train Station sits on the waterway overlooking the James River. Patrons can dine on the patio and enjoy the view while feasting on traditional American entrees, fresh seafood, soups and gourmet sandwiches. They have live jazz on Friday nights and karaoke during the week.

This cozy restaurant is open for lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and for lunch and dinner from Wednesday through Sunday. The intimate, riverfront setting is wonderful for a date of special event.
