Help us make it rightLocated in what's called "the peaceful side of the Smokies," each day at the Townsend / Great Smokies KOA promises a new adventure. Set in a beautiful wooded area on the tranquil Little River, the campground now offers Camping Cabins and fully furnished Deluxe Cabins with free Wi-Fi. This KOA neighbors Cades Cove, home to wildlife such as black bear and deer along with lush vegetation. Hiking...
Townsend is a quiet, small town but has grocery store, gas, propane and great mom-n-pop stores. If you want all the chain stores/restaurants, go to Gatlinburg. We spent five nights at this KOA. A very nice location along a beautiful creek. It is within a nice, scenic drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A very nice drive to the entrance of the Smoky Mt. National Park. It has a very convenient nearby store and if you want ice and fire wood delivered to you campsite, it...

KOAs are, as you know, a bit pricey (about $70 a night), but you get attendants who deliver wood/ice to your site and remove your trash. You can get propane at the...
The Great Smoky Mountains are a haven for nature lovers of every age. While there are a number of excellent accommodation options through the area, the KOA campground is the perfect choice for those who would like to enjoy the experience of camping with out having to do without basic modern conveniences. The campground offers a variety of campsites for tents and RVs, as well as comfortable...
