Business Description from the Web
Imagine, if you will, the ne plus ultra cheeseburger: thick and dripping with cheese, topped with grilled onions. That's the name of the game at Town Topic, a shoebox-sized KC institution where businessmen squeeze in next to construction workers at the counter during the lunch rush and orders are served up by efficient waitresses. Town Topic. HOLY COW. Best burgers I've had. They're a larger tastier meatier version of a White Kastle or Krystal burger: ultra thin with grilled onions pressed in. We made the mistake of ordering singles with cheese and were left wanting many more burgers. There's not enough room to turn around in the restaurant, and even less room in the bathroom, but well worth the location and tight squeeze.
Want a down and gritty Kansas City feel? You've come to the right place. The tiny confines of Town Topic will you take you out of the cold and into a world of grease and gossip. Enjoy.
If you're just visiting KC, look this place up. If you live here, I'm sure you've already been here and loved it. Very fast service, I can't ever remember my order being wrong, and the food is fantastic. It's a bit of a drive from the Northland or people farther toward the outskirts of the KC Metro Area, but it's worth the trip.
Rated as best fast-food in Kansas City by it's own residents...
