Help us make it rightI just wanted to ask why no one ever reported the animal abuse to the authorities?? There are laws against animal abuses and the manager deserved to be prosecuted and the center confiscated! And shame on the horse owners who obviously think a horse is like a bicycle one can use if they feel like it or leave it to rot in some corner (otherwise they'd know the condition of their animal)!
As of July 1, 2010, Towerhill Equestrian Center and its owner/manager Frank Quinn will no longer be in business. The new business will be Beyond the Crossing Stables and over the next year we will be doing the farm over. We will still have trail rides, pony rides, pony parties and horse boarding while we work on the farm.
OPENING JULY 1, 2010--BEYOND THE CROSSING STABLES --please come by or call 269-1144-269-9556
Volunteers and donations needed for supplies to renovate all barns and redo fields and trails-thnk you!
I used to work at this place for about a month when Frank was in charge, I would clean stalls on the weekend here just to get more equine exposure... let me tell you that this is bar far the worst facility for animals that I have EVER seen.
The horses in lower two barns are made to stand in mud when it rains, the stalls only get cleaned about once a week (I went one weekend and had to clean moldy manure out of a pony's stall), one of the stalls didn't have a light or window (i had to clean it in the pitch black), there were meal worms in a pony's feed bucket (the poor thing hadn't eaten in...
From what I heard Frank Quinn had a massive stroke and is out of bussiness (serves him right) and now Bonnie Smith from Smith Bridge stable is taking over the facility. I still wouldin't recommend going there. It's a horrible place with terrible people. Any true equine would stay away. Don't say the reviews didin't warn you!
Cons
- to many to list
This has to be the worst horse facility I have ever seen. With my horse riding experiance I have never witnessed a worse facility, well maybe once ... That was an animal cemetar. Frank needs to really pull it together because with these reviews, you won't have very much luck attracting people to ride there.
We offer trail rides, pony rides, lessons, carriage rides, hay rides we can also bring a pony to your house for your childs birthday or any parties you are having. We offer horses for sale and horse boarding.
