If you want tips about local fishing and can stand the bar smoke, this is your hangout. Friendly commercial fisherman mixed with sports fishermen. They advertise themselves as Kodiak's greatest navigational hazard and judging by the size of the crowd, they have succeeded. Great service, talk, banter and very reasonably priced free pours. A classic local tavern

Great Place to Meet the Locals

We were visiting Kodiac and dropped into Tony's Bar fora drink. The barmaid was wonderful. Friendly and very informative giving us lots of tips of things to do around Kodiak. Not knowing what beer Tobit she gave us a couple of samples.
There were some friendly locals in the bar which added to the merriment of the occasion.

Cold beer, pull tabs, pool, darts and fishermen missing teeth are the main attractions at Tony's. Bar food is decent, but Henry's Old Alaskan Restaurant next door is your better bet for late night food.

The Locals Bar. We are Alaskans and have spent many seasons in Kodiak. We love Tony's Bar. Nice place to meet the local people, especially the commercial fishermen. You will like it there. So, come on over and get aquinted.
