Bought a fresh Spartan turkey for Thanksgiving. Of the many turkey's that I've cooked in the past 40 years, this one happened to be just plain tough. Some of the sales are good deals. This store has the market cornered in a small town area. The owner, Tom and his son Steve, have NO people skills what so ever. They do not train the employees to have any customer service or appreciation skills. You might luck out and just get an employee that has these skills of there own, but they did not learn them by example from Tom or Steve. Steve will...

Tom... where to begin. I have lived in Portland all my adult life and have had several less than stellar shopping experiences at Tom's food center.
To be fair, his sale prices are excellent and in keeping with most other Spartan Stores. However, you WILL be gouged price-wise by most other items, especially items such as coffee, candy, cheeses, etc. As far as Health and beauty aids and medicine,...
