Take a day trip to West Marin for hiking and beaching, and stop off at Tomales Bay Foods in Point Reyes Station for your provisions. It's a mini-marketplace with a cornucopia of locally grown and made products like wines from Pt Reyes, Cowgirl Creamery cheese, Bellwether Farm's chevre and ricotta, farm grown produce and sandwiches, salads and desserts made onsite. Onsite Cowgirl Creamery is making their Red Hawk and Pierce Point Cheeses, which use milk from local dairies including Staus. Next time, make sure to pre-book one of the Cowgirls free cheese tours.
