The Scene Sparse and quiet at 6pm, this bistro hits its stride two hours later. The once-quiet booths overlooking downtown's Waterside become hard to come by; the more popular booths near the open kitchen, nearly impossible. The bistro's ever-changing menu of fresh, seasonal fare is enlivened by chef Jurich's fascination with Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Crab, served a number of ways---in soups, crab cakes and in a jumbo lump crab-stuffed flounder, to name a few---is a feature. Wonderful service and high quality dining. We had a hard time finding it because the address on this website is old. The new location is directly across from Nauticus. They have Valet services available, but there is also public garage parking in the immediate area.

When they were off Granby (as a smaller restaurant) I thought it was so much better than the snobby air I felt the time I went back to their new location on Main Street. The server(s) seemed more interested in giving the facade of an 'experience' than being excited about their specials, interacting with our group, etc. The food was good but not good enough to feel that you weren't deserving of...
