Todai used to have a fun birthday dinner policy of if you came in on your birthday you could get free dinner. I went to Todai on my birthday and this location had apparently strayed from the pack and now you had to come in on your birthday and pay full price so that you could get a coupon to come back within 3 months to get a free dinner. I had food poisoning after having dinner at Todai at this location. The food was poorly prepared and the quality is just bad. Go to an authentic Japanese restaurant instead.

Todai is quite disappointing if you are a sushi lover--but if you're a sushi lover, you probably know better than to try to get quality sushi at a buffet anyway. The cuts of fish used in the nigiri are skimpy and dried-out. There are no vegetable rolls to speak of. The eel avocado roll was okay, but since I am allergic to shellfish I wasn't able to try the other rolls, which all had shrimp...
