My wife and I stopped here for lunch based on the tripadvisor review. My wife had an Italian beef sandwich - they put mayo on Italian beef! I had a corned beef sandwich. Both sandwiches were awful! The meat was skimpy and very badly cooked, and a poor value. I cannot recall having a lunch worst than this. I recommend...

Went here for lunch with colleagues one day at this local notorious sandwich shop. I ordered the Cuban Rueben on Rye with soda, chili with cheese, and a bag of chips. All for under $10. Timmy's used to be the Hungry Hobo and people still call it that. Tim has lived in Iowa City for a very long time and has owned this restaurant the entire time, I believe. Good sandwiches made to order, and great chocolate and carrot cakes (large servings). Good stop before or after a football game. Delivery is prompt.
