In Short The vintage setting here is beautiful, decked out in retro design elements, ceiling-to- floor picture windows and contemporary accents from local artists. Many local diners adore the fare which includes mussels in lime butter, steaks and "maple glazed" pork tenderloin. House comfort dishes are reliable, satisfying choices. Beer choices include a caramel-flavored, richly... more

Despite all the lakes and bays in the area, Seattle has a surprising dearth of waterfront hotels, which would in itself make the Woodmark recommendable. But this resortlike hotel is so luxurious and in such a beautiful setting that it is the metro area's premier waterfront lodging -- and thus well worth the 20-minute drive from downtown Seattle. Surrounded by a luxury residential community, the... more

This popular, busy brewpub is in the Cheyenne Building, home to the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad in the early 1900s. On any given day, 8 to 10 of Phantom Canyon's specialty beers are on tap, including homemade root beer. The signature beer is the Phantom, a traditional India pale ale; others include the Cascade Amber and a light ale called Queen's Blonde.

So, we planned our wedding to be officiated and held at Phantom on their third floor banquet facility. It was easy having the wedding and our reception here as well. I highly reccomend it!
It was last January 4th, what a day. Beautiful sunshine in Colorado..... besides marrying... more

Phantom Canyon has been around a while, since the early nineties. It is affiliated with the Wynkoop Brewery in Denver. Located in a lovely old building in old downtown, it is a bewery and restaurant on the ground floor and a pool hall upstairs. The beer is consistently good with 6 regular taps and couple of special beers, sometimes more. The food is great. Standard bar fare of burgers,... more
