Help us make it rightFourth Wall Restaurants was founded by acclaimed father-son restaurateurs Alan and Michael Stillman in 2007. The group is comprised of upscale restaurants in New York City, including the flagship Smith & Wollensky location, Maloney & Porcelli, Park Avenue, The Post House, Quality Meats, and our latest venture, The Hurricane Club.
The Post House is an upscale restaurant that is perfect for patrons who enjoy great steak, great service and classic New York atmosphere. The decor is a mix of modern and traditional, with gilt framed paintings and chalkboard specials. Located inside the Lowell Hotel , The Post House resembles a gentleman's club in appearance. Appetizers include clams, oysters, Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and Maryland...
The Post House offers a variety of menu items for lunch and dinner. It serves a variety of appetizers, including coconut shrimp, mozzarella, calamari crab cakes and cornmeal fried oysters. The restaurant features various types of wines that include merlot, sauvignon, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and vintage. The Post House s dessert menu includes fresh fruit platter, chocolate cakes, banana...
A bastion of genteel power dining, this Upper East Side restaurant in The Lowell New York is more elegant than your typical steakhouse. In fact, the gilt-framed paintings interspersed with the chalkboard menus, the leather banquettes and armchairs and the long, polished bar lend the dining room the look and ambience of a private gentlemen's club. The offerings include all the American classics:...
Elegant refuge in Lowell hotel, patriotic art on walls, jacket required. References available upon request. Money. Power. Quality. It's what's for dinner. Plenty of beef, though much more refined than your average meat and potatoes frat heaven. Too many expense-account deal-closers, but still slings sick sirloin, if you can afford it. Special $25 Ladies Lunch brings the testosterone level down,...
Yes, I know I’ve categorized the Post House as a steakhouse, and I know it is owned by the Smith & Wollensky group, and the windowless restaurant off the Lowell Hotel has a clubhouse (my seat was adorned with Ron Perelman’s bronzed commemorative inscription) alpha-male feel, but the Post House is not your traditional meat-and-potatoes steakhouse. There are as many non–red meat items on the menu...
Horrifying vegetarians since 1980, an astounding steak or a succulent lobster awaits you at the Post House.
Solid food and service and a stylish location in the Upper East Side. Four stars only because the ones that are five star are just slightly better in food...
Closed for renovations and doorman next door said it will not open re open as the post. Beware! Came all the way over here & no steak :(
Made the reservation for house guests visiting from France. It was just what they had hoped for
I rarely write reviews, but am writing this one as I want one of my favorite restaurants in the City to get back on track. The PH has been my favorite steak place in the city for a long time. Its hard to find a relatively quiet and elegant steakhouse anywhere, but PH hit the mark with its beautiful dining room, attentive staff and excellent menu and wine list.
Thursday they were just off. The...
My favorite neighborhood place. We have a favorite waiter, Wayne, how is a total delight as well. Steaks are the best I have eaten in NYC.

Noticeably different, the Post House prides itself on being a refined version of your typical steakhouse. Gilt-framed Victorian art and lovely china, along with a family friendly atmosphere, combine to give this eatery an ambience unlike any others in its class. In addition to its classiness, this establishment serves up tasty cuts of beef and trusty side dishes. Excellent wine list. TRAIN: 4,...
