Peabody Little Rock is in the former Excelsior Hotel in downtown Little Rock (next to the Old Statehouse). The hotel underwent over 40 million dollars of renovations and is almost unrecognizable. It's absolutely beautiful. The main lobby attraction is, of course, a new fountain and four or five little water fowl.

I went with a group because we heard the 24oz Ribeyes were the best in Little Rock. I ordered mine Medium Rare but it was more like well done. The waitress never stopped by to see if everything was OK. We had to flag down the manager and get them to cook another steak. By time my steak was cooked and delivered, my group had eaten and was ready to leave. A guy who said he was the general manager...

This is not a four star hotel. The rooms were old and outdated. There was no minibar. The television didn't have video (only sound) for NBC. Despite reservation request we were sent to a room with double beds and had to be moved. Staff was explicitely not-helpful, in some cases rude. The hotel looks like a run-down annex to the the convention center. Full stop. ...
