This local favorite has a festive and inviting neighborhood atmosphere and offers a delightful blend of Greek and Mediterranean dishes, such as mouthwatering dolmades, rich spanikopita, sweet pastitso, and spicy beef-filled grape leaves. They are open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner; closed on Sundays.
This place is great. Best place for Greek bar none in this area. Spanakopita, Pastitsio, Yigendes are all delicious, and the Dolmades are to die for! People who give this place a bum rap probably don't have any idea what Greek is in the first place. We love this place!
Best Greek food in Hampton Roads bar none. The salad was wonderful with just the right amount of everything. I loved the bread and butter that they bring before your meal. Prices are excellent and the atmosphere makes you truely feel as though you are somewhere different. Sometimes the waitstaff can be a little slow but when the food comes it is worth the wait. The lunch pizza/salad combo is definitely worth it as well. I try to go here at least once a week. It's that good.
I would say the fare here is American-Greek vs. true Greek like you'd find in Chicago's Greektown. But I am not complaining one bit!
I had an excellent dish & the service was wonderful. Three was an adequate selection of wines and the prices were terrific. It's not a date place -- more like a lunch or dinner with the husband & kids restaurant -- but I'll definitely be back.

I love it that now they have wine night the first Friday and Saturday of each month. This gives me a chance to try a new wine and not feel guily if I don't like it because of the price. Lunch specials are great. Personal pizza and greek salad for under 5...
We went there with our daughters who were studing at Norfolk University and used to go often as the food is very good. The place is simple and cosy. The food was tasty and the prices super.
I recommend Orapax Inn to everyone who visit Norfolk.

in 1966, Louis Seretis purchased a small confectionery. It was called "Orapax" for the street upon which the front door opened. Through that door, regular patrons, mainly longshoremen, railroad workers, and other locals, came to purchase medicine, cigars, and Louie's own "Poorman's" sandwiches -- Spam and cheese on white bread. Others drifted in to have a beer or shoot a game of pool.
Surprising Spirits: While prices vary with selection, a decent bottle of table wine can accompany any meal for under $13.
