everything was great until the fireplace was lit, it went whoosh! really loudly and the loud noise scared the toddler. If the person lighting it knew what he was doing it would not have made any noise at all. One should turn the gas on slowly while holding the fire to the gas, not turning on the gas full blast then turning on the fire. luckily that is all that happened.
The steaks were absolutely wonderful. The escargots in mushrooms, not so good. The mushrooms were somewhat tough and the escargot had sort of an after taste. We went for my husband's birthday after he received an email for a free birthday meal. I did mention the birthday celebration when I made my reservations and there was a handwritten birthday card waiting for him when we arrived. The food was delicious (my sirloin steak was more tender than most filets I've eaten) and service was very good, although I noticed the prices had gone up considerably...
Had visited once before and with a birthday event thought time to revisit. Arrived at appointment and promptly seated - what was interesting was our table was the same one we had previous visit right by the fireplace that was off when we sat down. The manager checked before lighting and asked if ok to start and if got too hot could turn off.
