Hollywood's premier location for music, dance, and film, this place also features a museum with artifacts on the Hollywood Bowl, including photos and programs.
All the seats here are great - especially the cheap ones. Jumbo screens show you most of what's going on if you aren't sitting in the first two sections. Sound is great on most concerts. You can bring food and booze and enjoy music under the stars. Free shuttle from Hollywood/Highland Red Line stop.
Open from late May through early October, this famed outdoor venue hosts jazz, rock, and country performers, along with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The shell was originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and later updated by Frank Gehry. As a native Angeleno I can say that the Hollywood Bowl is one of my favorite things in LA. Scenic, fun, great for a group or a romantic date. I love packing a picnic and listening to live music under the stars!
While the perfect concert venue, the Bowl is also incredible for Opera and live theatre! I've seen Ray Charles, La Philharmonic, Jason Mraz, and more perform here and it's always an experience worth having.
