Hospitality excellent from reception throughout our meal!! Food was superb! We had Parmesan encrusted cod and pork chop! Service excellent!! Would definitely go back!

The ambiance at The Gelston house is just perfect! The setting is so pretty and I love that the original decor is preserved. The service was impeccable without being overly solicitous. The cuisine was varied and prepared to perfection. I would highly recommend dining here!

Lobster bisque should not taste "fishy". French onion soup should come out hot. The server should not ask us twice in the first five minutes if we are ready to order. Lobster rolls as a main course should include some meat from a lobster tail - not just claw and leg meat.

Before the show at the Goodspeed Opera House, the Gelston House is my first choice for lunch or dinner. You can't beat the ambiance of this beautiful historic building set on the banks of the lovely Connecticut River.
