Help us make it rightThe Fat Cat is a dedication to perseverance and quality. After years of research and site searching the owner, Neil Kiley, decided there was no place like home. A lifelong Quincy resident, Mr. Kiley found the property at 24 Chestnut Street which had been empty for three years. The building itself is deep with Quincy tradition, 24 Chestnut Street was the first market in the City of Presidents....
With "huge portions" ("hence the name") of "creative" pub grub that's "inexpensive relative to the quality and quantity", expect to "take a doggy bag home" from this Quincy "must-visit" – "when you're finally able to move from your seat"; the "tiny" exposed-brick-and-beam space has "long" waits, but like the "friendly" staff, it also "has charm."
Comfort food in a comfortable environment, with some extra class and inventiveness, defines this quaint Quincy restaurant. A giant, fat and happy cat painted on one of the exposed-brick walls...
Delicious! All of it! Wings were so crispy and tasty! Had the Mac n cheese with hot dogs! So great!!!
If I had a penny for every time I walked into the fat cat and walked out pissed off from their crappy service I would be rich. Snotty hostesses and, grumpy bartender and horrible seating policy. Been turned away because someone was parking a car, turned away because they wouldn't seat two people at a four top, bartenders barely say hi. Whoever owns the Fat Cat should go to the Fours to learn...
I understand your policy about not seating a group if the entire party isn't present. But is it also your policy to tell patrons that they can't call one member of their party to cancel their arrival because that person wasn't planning to eat and refuse to seat myself and my sister because we asked for a table for 3 then said that it's okay we'll take a table for 2?
I hate to believe that your...
Best food and a couple of really awesome bartendars. Minus one star for a couple of bad incidents with hosts/hostesses being a bit rude about seating. I got a bar table and was waiting for my boyfriend to walk down the street and I was going to order his and my food at the same time while I waited but was told I couldn't get a table until he was physically there. Was paying for two plates so...
The lobster mac n cheese was so delicious! And the portion sizes are huge! Very nice restaurant, staff was very pleasant as well.
Situated in an old fish market the Fat Cat has an industrial theme with brick walls, high ceilings, steel trimmings and urban graffiti-like murals on the wall. The bistro style menu includes pasta, sandwiches, creative nacho platters and salads. Open seven days a week.

This popular new Quincy eatery is a cross between a bistro and a gastro-pub. You can get a killer burger with hand-cut fries or a decadent bowl of lobster mac 'n cheese. Don't miss barbecue pork nachos or house wings (choose from among eight sauces). Baby back ribs are smoky and succulent, and don't leave without the thick-as-a-brick brownie sundae. A cute cocktail menu has a cat theme. The...
