We have been coming since 1985. Tastes the same every time. Great tradition. Not fancy and not overpriced. Worth a side trip and the calorie splurge for fried food.

We got to the Hut for lunch. Our favorite is the large scallop plate, fries, cole slaw, hush puppies and sweet tea. It doesn’t get any better. This is a small restaurant and they get crowded with senior citizens. Find a place to park, and...

Located along Calabash's surprisingly busy "main drag," the aptly-named Seafood Hut is one of those old places you may be tempted to pass by without trying, dismissing it in favor of something newer and prettier. Don't. Few places know how to do fried shrimp, flounder, oysters or deviled crab the way this old-timer does, and eating here is one of those decisions for which you'll thank yourself...
