We decided on the Bench for Christmas Dinner after a home dinner didn't work out, based on reasonable recommendations and few other options. This was a major mistake. First the humus appetizer came with inedible brick hard pita bread, which we had to return. THEN, worst we were told all 3 of the entrees that we were interested in ordering were UNAVAILABLE, and of the 6 entrees on the menu there...
We were celebrating our anniversary. The service, the ambiance, and food was great. Our server was kind and attentive. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. I explain that we were early for our reservations and we were properly seated without hesitation by the hostess. The appetizer and our entrees were great.
Both Bartenders were really friendly! We enjoyed that, but food wasn't special, just ok!
We eat at this restaurant a couple of times a year. We usually share the restaurant with only a handful of people. This visit the restaurant was full and, not surprisingly, much noisier than is our preference. They also had a new menu with some new and appetizing choices. The food was quite good. Poor service, only ordered a starter and 2 drinks before we decided to leave.
