A loud, rowdy, tacky college bar that serves inexpensive beer and not much else. It’s packed on most evenings during the school year. The music is way too loud, making it necessary to scream at everyone you’re speaking to.

What a great concept, a pub on campus, complete with house brews! Didn't eat there, but stopped in for a couple of pints in the afternoon. Good beer, good spot to chill out while the significant other hits the stores down Telegraph Avenue. Will make this a regular stop whenever we come to Berkeley.
This is your basic college sports bar and as such is wonderful. I love to go here and watch basketball games in a relaxed atmosphere (even if I am the only Black girl in the room)... The pizza is great the service is average the sports atmosphere is THE BEST!!! These are the people who start the chants at the games!
i'm pretty sure the bear's lair is the only bar on any u.c. campus which makes it worth checking out. they have live music here from time. fun little brewpub that's right on campus.
