Friendly bartenders and excellent German food await you at this corner restaurant and beer garden. Every style of German beer you can imagine is here, and the European pub-style decor makes you feel like you are back across the Atlantic. The plates of German-style sausage, veal, and sauerkraut are highly recommended. The nearby law offices usually empty out into here after the day is done.

To start, I like spaten optimator. The house serves Spaten Octoberfest draught. Octoberfest beers are typically brewed quickly at large volumes to prepare for the drinking season, and usually suffer in quality. I suspect sxysin and jstrauss are just shills for Hans, the owner of this dying gasthaus. I agree with JStrauss, what was JBochner thinking? Unless he only eats at Mcdonald;s? Teske's is a breathe of fresh air. Wonderful food, great service, and where in San Jose can you get a 4 course meal for under 30.00 per person!
