I was with someone who had attended college in Mankato and he took me here as it was his favorite place for a cold drink, wings and a burger. They did not disappoint. They are well known for their wings and we shared a plate as an appetizer. He ordered them "twice baked" which added some nice crispiness. Good sauce...

Tavern on the Ave is a somewhat hidden location in Mankato, Minnesota but worth the search. If you are looking for a nice selection of brews and a sports bar atmosphere, Tavern on the Avenue is a great choice. Their sandwiches, burgers, and wraps are excellent. Although it is a sports bar, the decor is tastefully done in the prairie...

The food is always really good - and big portions. They have really good happy hour appetizer specials. If you go you must try the superfries! We often host work parties here because the happy hour specials make it very affordable.

Lack of management involvment, Customer service and I could not even tell you if the food is good as we didn't receive any before we finally left.
