"Classic" Southern Italian dishes with an emphasis on Abruzzese fare take a turn for the "creative" and "gourmet" at this moderately priced Newton bistro; there are "relatively few tables" (along with a "long bar") in the "pleasant" dining room, so it can get "crowded", but the "friendly" staff works "quick."

The food is truly outstanding. Two of us had the halibut, one the chicken parm and another the carbonara. All excellent. Tables are close together and the noise level is a bit high. Don’t let that deter you from coming to this gem.
