The receipt should have been saved period.  This is an item that could have been purchased anywhere and I agree with Target. The girlfriend opened the item.  Therefore lesson learned. And WHERE did your son get $400 anyway to purchase this item?? And NO I do not work for Target

My son purchased an Apple Watch series 2 for $400 cash for his girlfriend. His girlfriend threw the receipt out with the bag. About a week and a half later decided she had no use for it. They went to try and return it. Target was able to look the receipt up in their system. They refuse to return it with the look up.
