The place looks like the day it was built back when Balsam Lake was mostly known for fishing, not multi-million dollar vacation homes for spoiled kids from the Twin Cities.
Some days the fish still bite and the jet skis are quiet.
The resort is made up of little cabins where air conditioning is a breeze and you heat the place with a gas stove.
