I usually just go to a plain old barber, but at my wife's urging, I went to a place with a little more class. I was actually impressed with the service, skill and style the stylist had to offer. It's a posh little salon downtown, and maybe more of a woman's salon, but I was impressed. Prices were definitely more than going to a barber, but I can see why. I would go back.

I have been going to Tanaz for 10+ years and would never imagine finding a new hair salon. They do amazing cuts and are always on the cutting edge when it comes to color, trends and cuts. Beyond cutting they are a full-service spa that offers everything from facials to massages to seaweed wrap and hydro massage. Great salon, but very high prices. All the hairstylists are very nice and they all do a great job, but for a price. One of the more expensive ones in the area. Conviently located in downtown grand rapids, this salon is where a lot of the high end business people go for a good cut. Worth the money though, they do a great job.
