The surface is good for cycling, and you can feel like you're in a somewhat more relaxed and quiet area in the middle of the city. (More for a relaxing ride than "training.") I haven't walked it but imagine it would be good for that as well.

Ok- well, Cherry Creek is not the most scenic part of the state by any stretch of the imagination, but the path is incredibly useful if you prefer getting outside at some point in the day. They have a designated bike path i like very much. Sometimes bumpy, but all in all biking around Denver suburban area is good.

Human feces, the smell of urine, trash......aaahhh, Denver. This place is dangerous and a discrace to the once decent Colorado capitol.

Enter off of Speer near 2nd or 3rd, go down the entrance ramp (look both ways for oncoming bikes), and then ride uninterrupted all the way downtown to a point just across the water from REI. The ride into town is slightly downhill, and the ride back southeast is slightly uphill, and both are well worth the effort.
