Matthew Boussina, who grew up in Tiburon, and traveled his way around Latin America, has chosen to translate the Yucatan experience to Taco Jane's, his breezy little San Anselmo cafe, where an interior washed in sunshine yellow and an outdoor deck splashed with flowered oil cloth tables both pulsate to the beat of Latin Jazz.
An intimate & fun family restaurant featuring Authentic Regional Mexican Cuisine. Aiming at the sweeter flavors of the Southern States, like their Oaxacan Chocolate Mole Enchiladas with house made organic queso fresco cheese, or their Pacific line caught Snapper Tacos marinated in deep recados from Merida.
Dining at Taco Jane's feels like your eating in the living room of a good friends home;...
On any given night, Taco Jane’s is full of couples alongside families with children, digging into Mexican specialties with a Caribbean bent. Ingredients include naturally raised meats and organic vegetables, and the food has a fresh, light flavor. I stop here frequently now that I live nearby and I'll admit I'm delighted to know this place exists. The outdoor seating is festive and practical (and I can bring my dog with me!). All the meals I've had are very tasty.

Color! If I close my eyes and think of the Yucatan, color is everywhere I “look”. Huge flowers in reds, pinks and yellows so saturated they almost vibrate against the landscape; bright peppers and tomato salsas; jungle greens; hot blue sky; vivid tropical fish swimming in a clear, turquoise sea. Color is the medium. Mathew Boussina, who grew up in Tiburon and traveled his way around Latin...
