At Swirk Wine Bar, our concept is simple: we linke to drink wine. And when we find one that we like, we add it to our wine list to share with our guests, simple as that. We are positive you will feel the same way. Our primary objective is to offer a place for friends to gather, relax and celebrate life. Swirl Wine Bar was founded on the premise that the enjoyment of wine,...

Tucked in next to an adult bookstore, Swirl seems to be taking cues from its neighbor's tactics, teasing with promises but rarely delivering satisfaction. The long, dim room is handsomely outfitted with low banquettes and sofas in tasteful neutrals; a small stage at the rear showcases live music Friday and Saturday nights. Wines by the glass are extensive but hit or miss, and in one instance...

Live jazz Thursdays and Fridays and Saturday DJs are complemented by a menu of small bites such as pizzettes, empanadas, and salads, available until 2am nightly.
Special cocktails are the way to go. Try the sweet Saffron martini, blending Stoli cranberry, saffron simple syrup, triple sec, lime juice and white cranberry juice, or the fruity Holiday martini with gin, Apple Pucker, ginger ale and mango liquor.
In Short This addition to the River North bar scene is situated on a cozy strip of Hubbard Street in the old Minx space. The sliver-sized lounge gets more coziness from dim lighting, squashy couches and low-rise tables stacked with chunky candles. Couples squeeze together at the bar, where a tiered tea tray coddles complimentary domestic cheese and crackers. The wine list proffers 25...

The Scene Head upstairs to this narrow, two-room space, where the front is bright and slightly more casual than the larger, back area bathed in red lighting. Sheer burgundy curtains enclose soft suede booths in sexy confidence, and funky, unobtrusive soul music creates a mellow mood. The Food Although saffron is typically associated with Indian food, here it...

Can't stand the thought of swirling your vino at a snooty tasting? The folks at this River North, smoke-free wine bar hope to ease your discomfort with an approachable atmosphere and 25 wines by the glass, quartino, bottle and flight. The user-friendly wine menu breaks wine down by flavor rather than region, starting off with the light and crisp, and moving up to full-bodied. Nosh on a global...

Love this place! Chill contemporary lounge atmosphere. I guess I've just outgrown the places where you stand all night and can't sit unless you play for a $300 bottle and then have to yell at the top of your lungs to talk to the person next to you. This is the place to go if you agree with me! They have the BEST chef here. The menu is small, but everything on it is good! They have great weekday...

I went here with friends while visiting Chicago, and we fell in love with the place! It's tastefully decorated with an extensive wine list, incredible service, and a great band! We tried lots of different wines by the glass, but our favorite experience of the night was the Brazilian band. Sergio, the lead, came over and chatted with us, and we had a great time. In fact, we liked them so...

First off, if you're going to be a wine bar then you best have different varieties of wine available and not just one from each catagory. Furthermore, each glass of wine shouldn't be in the double digits. With that said, I think you can put 2 and 2 together that this isn't a happy review. I went here only because I was invited for some Flamenco night event. It wasn't enough that I had to...
